About Us- Event Planning for You!

 Annette Marquez founded The Perfect Occasion with the mission of providing excellence in comprehensive event planning services to associations, non-profit organizations and small and medium sized companies.  Based in Lincoln NE, the company serves the Lincoln area as well as out state.

Annette holds a BS degree in Restaurant Management from Kansas State University and a Meeting and Event Management Certificate from Dakota County Technical College in Minnesota. Her years of experience in restaurants as well as business management make her uniquely able to understand your event planning needs. Recognizing that elements of successful events are constantly changing; she keeps up to date by regularly attending workshops, continuing event industry education, and most importantly networking with event and meeting industry professionals to bring fresh ideas to your events.

Annette looks for opportunities to contribute to the hospitality industry and the community. While affiliated with DCTC, she provided students and alumni internship opportunities as well as tutoring DCTC students.

Event Planning to Perfection!

I first met Annette in 2006 shortly after she founded her company and enrolled in Hospitality and Supervisory Management courses at Dakota County Technical College (DCTC).

She is a committed meeting planner, providing exceptional services for her clients to ensure successful events.

More than being a meeting planner, Annette gives generously of her talents in the hospitality industry and the community. She contributes to the college in many ways. Annette is a charter member of the DCTC Advisory Committee. She makes internship opportunities available to current hospitality students and is a guest speaker for Hospitality and Supervisory Management classes.
